Values are different than Goals. Core values help achieve goals without compromising your methods.
It takes time to implement core values in any business, family or church. Work on the small parts to build the whole. Have all departments accept the values and reinforce them frequently.

Ministry isn’t something you work for it is something you practice. It is interesting that God’s qualifications in ministry have little to do with degrees or talent but almost entirely to do with character. Your ideal is what you wish you were. Your reputation is what people say you are. However, your character is what you are. We will look at what character is and is not. What are the great benefits of character and how do you cultivate it.

Welcome to “Leadership from the Cross” with Pastor Scott Thom. We are here to develop and elevate your leadership skills in ministry. If you listen to this broadcast you are probably innovative, hardworking and an early adopter.
I will tell you a little about myself and the purpose of the show. We will briefly look at the awesome power of mentorship. I had hoped that my own church could plant 10 to 20 churches in my lifetime - I was thinking too small. The power of discipleship is greater than that. I have helped raised up many pastors and planted dozens of churches when I was in California but now that we are in Albuquerque we have accelerated that. We have raised up fifteen pastors in just a few years and planted five churches. This is only the beginning. If you want to learn about ministry on any level this is the show for you.
We want to share with you one powerful treasure you have probably taken for granted. It is simple but powerful when done over a period of time.
